I have seen a lot of acai bowls online, I am sure you have too. If you are not familiar with an acai bowl, it is served as a smoothie in a bowl. It is commonly topped with granola, and different fruits. I like to make acai bowls for breakfast and for snacks all the time! They are so healthy and very easy to make. There are many different kinds of acai bowls you can create, but today I will be sharing with you how to make a dragonfruit acai bowl!


Of course you don't have to use the exact recipe that I am using, you can always change it to your liking!




              Dragonfruit Acaį Bowl Recipe
                             Makes one small bowl


Ingredients:

  • 1/4 cup frozen dragonfruit
  • 1/4 cup milk ( I used almond milk )
  • Half of a frozen banana 
  • Plain Yogurt (Optional) 
 If you do use yogurt, be sure that it is not flavored.

Toppings: ( Below are recommendations, you can add your desired toppings. )

  • Granola
  • Sliced Fruit
  • Nuts 
  • Seeds
Instructions:

1. Freeze your fruit.  First, slice the banana and the dragonfruit. Transfer your sliced fruit onto a baking sheet or a plate lined with parchment paper. ( You can also use store bought frozen fruit, it works just as well. ) Then, set the fruit in your freezer. Allow the fruit to freeze completely.

2. Blend. Once the fruit is frozen, add the fruit, milk, and yogurt ( if you used it ) to the blender. Make sure the mixture is nice and smooth.


3. Assemble. Pour the mixture into one small bowl, and add your toppings. Now, you get to enjoy your delicious smoothie bowl!
